Higlife living legend, Dr. Victor Olaiya has since the beginning of the millennium made it a rule to mark his birthday which coincides with the New Year’s eve of every year.
But come next year the gracefully aging Olaiya whom many now refer to as the last man standing in the active business of playing music turns 80.
Already arrangements are in top gear by friends, associates and members of his family to give the evil genius of highlife a celebration of a lifetime.
Friends and family may not be the only ones gracing the birthday celebration which begins at his Suru-lere, Lagos home and spirals over to his famous Stadium Hotels were a special night of highlife featuring some prominent musicians will be dedicated the Ijebu- Isu, Ekiti state- born highlife maestros.
The event we gathered will have in attendance, some prominent royal fathers, ex -governors and top celebrities have responded favorably to the well-designed invitations sent to them.
