Scarlett Johansson Finally Addresses Woody Allen Molestation Scandal, But Don’t Assume She’s Siding With Dylan Farrow!

scarlett johansson woody allen comment on molestation accusation

This is awkward.

Dylan Farrow called out a slew of celebs when she wrote an open letter accusing Woody Allen of molestation.

And while Cate Blanchett addressed the matter early on, Scarlett Johansson is now taking on the matter, but her statement might not be what you expect.

In fact, Scarlett does not think her name, or the names of other celebs who’ve worked with and supported Woody, should have been brought up:

“I think it’s irresponsible to take a bunch of actors that will have a Google alert on and to suddenly throw their name into a situation that none of us could possibly knowingly comment on. That just feels irresponsible to me.”

But that’s not all she had to say on the matter!

She also commented on what this might do to his career…or in her opinion, what it won’t do to his career:

“I’m unaware that there’s been a backlash. I think he’ll continue to know what he knows about the situation, and I’m sure the other people involved have their own experience with it. It’s not like this is somebody that’s been prosecuted and found guilty of something, and you can then go, ‘I don’t support this lifestyle or whatever.’ I mean, it’s all guesswork … I don’t know anything about it. It would be ridiculous for me to make any kind of assumption one way or the other.”

This seems like a pretty strong statement for someone who wants to stay out of it!

We wonder if she’ll be getting a response from Dylan or anyone else involved.
