A man found himself stuck in an underground drain for two days after chasing a dropped $20 bill.
The Oklahoma man, who has not been named, was only found when school kids heard his cries for help.
The man told police he was so desperate for the cash he was forced to climb down a manhole after the note – worth just over £11 – but soon got lost.
Sergeant John Chelenza told KSWO News: “We could hear a man yelling for help.
“We see a gentleman down in the bottom of it (the drain) and it seemed that he had been down there a couple of days.”
Police officer Alicia Redding said: “I was amazed. I was confused how he had gotten down there and amazed that he was still okay.”
The man was 15ft below street level in a dark and wet pipe and he had a bump on his head.
Sgt Chelenza continued: “That’s the first time in going on 28 years that we have found somebody down in a storm drain.”
For what it’s worth – he never found his $20 bill.
