Following the fire outbreak in its office in Lagos on Tuesday evening, the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has assured stakeholders that the incident would not affect its business transaction.
This is contained in a statement issued by Mr Isaac Okoroafor, on behalf of the CBN Director of Communications in Abuja.
The statement partly stated: “We wish to assure our numerous stakeholders that the records of the bank are intact.
“The CBN has an effective backup of all its records as part of our disaster recovery infrastructure”.
It said the fire, which started at about 5.30 p.m. at the first floor of its Lagos office, was successfully put out by a combined team of fire fighters from the CBN and other institutions.
