Luanda — Angola needs to attract investments that permit the mining industry to contribute significantly to the development of the country.
This was said on Friday in Luanda by the chairman of Luanda International Fair (FIL), Matos Cardoso, during the second day of the Angolan International Mining Fair (FIMA).
According to him, the mining sector will need a greater effort of the government and entrepreneurs to face in better way financial crisis that hit some world markets.
To Matos Cardoso, the key companies of the mining sector, such as the Diamond firms, must boost the promotion of mining investment activity in the country.
The 4th edition of FIMA counts on the participation of 70 exhibiters from Angola, Namibia, Portugal, Argentina, Holland, Germany and The United Arab Emirates.
To end on Sunday, the opening act the fair was led by the Minister of Geology and Mining, Francisco Queirós.
