Joshua Clottey has finally taken delivery of the WBA International Light Middleweight title belt.
The Ghanaian who beat Australian Anthony Mundine last month was sent home without the title, but organizers of the bout promised to send it to him later.
And true to their words the title finally arrived in Ghana much to the excitement of the former world champion.
“WBA have finally sent me the belt I won from Anthony Mundine’s fight, its WBA international title,” Clottey said.
“Thanks to the WBA, Star Boxing Promotions, David Berlin, my former manager and Almighty Allah not forgetting my fans too,” the former IBF Welterweight champion acknowledged.
He says he is expecting to mount the ring again very soon preferably before the end of the year to further underline his credentials.
