According to the National Communications Authority (NCA), telecommunication service provider, Vodafone Ghana has managed to increase its subscriber base from 6,644,825 in April 2014 to 6,732,555 as at the end of May 2014.
The latest NCA report showed that MTN had an increase of 177,274 from April 2014 to end the month of May with 13,304,158.
Tigo also recorded an increase in subscriber base to end the month under review with a figure of 4,042,554, while Airtel’s subscriber base increased by 2,737 to end May with a total figure of 3,504,858.
The report said Glo also experienced an increase of 26,101 in their subscriber base to end the month with 1,374,263, while Expresso figures decrease from April’s 154,207 to end month at 143,379.
The report disclosed that mobile voice subscriber base figures for the country increased from 28,814,484 at the end of April, to 29,101,767 as at the end of May 2014.
