Hearts Of Oak Unveil Stephen Abugri As New Asistant Coach

Hearts of Oak will unveil the club’s newly appointed Assistant Coach Stephen Abugri on the second day of the team’s pre-season training at the ATTC Park on Wednesday as the search for a new Head Coach continues.

Ahead of the unveiling of the former King Faisal and Okwawu United trainer, the Phobians physiotherapist Bortsie Commey, who also trained as a Coach while in Germany, will lead the playing body into the first week pre-season training, which begins on Tuesday at the ATTC Park.

Three members of the Hearts of Oak Board of Directors including ex-Board Chairman EM Commodore Mensah are in charge of head-hunting for a new Head Coach for the club.

Campionesport.com investigations have revealed that Heart of Lions Coach Yusif Abubakari and Inter Allies trainer Herbert Addo, both former Coaches of Hearts of Oak, are the strong favorites amongst the candidates to take over the Phobians Coaching role.

Meanwhile, Sabhan Quaye has made a return to Hearts of Oak as the club’s Team Manager after quitting Liberty Professionals last season to focus on his duties with the Black Stars.

After returning from Brazil with the Black Stars, Mr. Quaye was introduced to the playing body of Hearts of Oak on Tuesday morning at training by Phobian Administrative Manager Hackman Aidoo.
