Jesus Would Support Same-s*x Marriage Says Elton John

Multiple Grammy-winning legend and one of the most highly acclaimed and successful solo artists of all time, Elton John has said he believes he knows where Jesus would have stood on the same-s*x marriage debate.

According to him, if Jesus was alive, he would have supported it because he all about love and bringing people together.

Speaking in a recent interview with Sky News, the star who plans to marry his partner David Furnish next year, said he was pleased with the humanity of Pope Francis and wishes the Church of England would encourage his message of love and taking everybody in.

Sir Elton is of the opinion that gay clergymen should be allowed to get married, while the celibacy vow for Catholic priests should be abolished as the church needs to catch up with the times.

These are old and stupid things, and the church hierarchy might be up in arms about it, the traditionalists but times have changed.

“We live in a different time. If Jesus Christ was alive today, I cannot see him, as the Christian person that he was and the great person that he was, saying this could not happen.

“He was all about love and compassion and forgiveness and trying to bring people together, and that is what the church should be about,” Elton said.

Concerning his upcoming wedding, Elton said it’ll be very quiet and very off the cuff.
