Sammy Osei Kuffour Tips Netherlands For World Cup Finals

Ex-Black Stars player Samuel Osei Kuffour has tipped the Netherlands to go far in this year’s FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The former Bayern Munich defender is convinced the Netherlands are the team to beat at this year’s tourney and feels that the Dutch have a compact team made of strong and skilful players that come with a strong technical bench led by Luis Van Gaal.

“I think the Netherlands have a strong team that can upset every team at the tournament. Remember they got to the finals in 1974, 1978 and 2010 and now they have started very well, winning their three group matches.”

The Netherlands have everything going their way as a team after beating holders Spain in their first match.

Sammy Kuffour urged the Netherlands team to continue with their focus as they move into the next stage of the FIFA tournament in Brazil considering their superb performance after eliminating defending champions, Spain who defeated them in the finals of the 2010 edition.

“They play to their ability and strength, mostly they rely on Arjen Robben and Robin Van Persie. Their idea of counter attack is very sharp and this is the team we must watch at the world cup but I pray they can sustain this to the end.”
