Who Laughs Last? …Kotoko Or Hearts

ASANTE KOTOKO have already won the First Capital plus premier League with two games remaining, and would be presented with the coveted imported trophy adorned with red and white ribbons by the PLBtomorrow in Kumasi.

But the Porcupine Warriors would have their joy complete should they go past their bitterest rivals Hearts of Oak in their expected crunchy league tie at the Baba Yara Stadium tomorrow.

Even before the big kick-off, Kotoko appear cocky-based on their current razor form as against Hearts’ below average form. Some top Kotoko officials have gone public predicting the outcome of the clash.

Kotoko were superior in the first leg at the Accra Stadium, a venue which has favoured them more than their opponents in their encounters, courtesy a Yahaya Mohammed grounder from a Seidu Bancey pass.

However, facts like form guide, player quality and predictions questions Kotoko’s optimism, more importantly playing at Baba Yara, a venue which ironically has favoured the Phobians.

Hearts, having lost the second spot to Heart of Lions, making their chances to play in the continent’s Champions League would be seeking to make amends by picking all the points.

Indeed, a Hearts win would pacify their faithful who are emotionally traumatized due to the team’s below average performance lately for spoiling their perennial rivals’ coronation at no other venue than Baba Yara.

In other games, Liberty Professionals would travel to Obuasi to play Ashgold, while Lions host relegation threatened King Faisal at Kpando.

Another relegation threatened side FC Berekum would trek to the Harbour City of Tema to battle bottom placed Amidaus

Professionals with Medeama playing as guests of Bechem United.

At the Essipong Stadium, Hasaacas would host Ebusua Dwarfs, while Herbert Addo’s Inter Allies welcome Aduana Stars to Tema.

New Edubiase would welcome Wa All Stars to the Gyamfi Park at Bekwai.
