Transfer News: Ghana star winger Andre Ayew throws Marseille future in doubt

Ghana star winger Andre Ayew has suggested he would consider leaving French Olympique Marseille.

The 24-year-old though admits he is happy at the Stade Velodrome at the moment but hints he could consider his future at the club with English giants Liverpool and Manchester United reportedly interested.

‘In the future things might change but at the moment I am happy as a Marseille player and I am proud to be wearing the jersey,’ Ayew told Foot Express.

Andre has consistently been linked with a move away from Marseille in the past three season but the Ghanaian has remained at the club but recent events could mean an end of his relationship with the club, parting ways with his agent for a new one and Marseille’s failure to secure European football for next season.

‘I could have gone away two years ago when we did not go to the Champions League but I stayed because when you’re in a club like Marseille you know that planning is everything.’

‘We’ll see what happens but there are all conditions to continue playing with this shirt.’

Italian side Napoli have reportedly already had a $10 million bid thrown out by Marseille but that doesn’t mean other clubs won’t bid for him.

Manchester United manager Luis van Gaal will take a particular look at the star during Ghana’s international friendly with the Netherlands on Saturday night in Rotterdam to make a decision on him.
