Transfer news: Moro Abubakar ready to sign new Hearts contract

The skipper for Accra Hearts of Oak has revealed that he is willing to extend his contract with the club in a way to reciprocate the kind gestures shown him by the fans.

This news will be a big sigh of relief to the Hearts of Oak fraternity, following several speculations in the media that the player is weighing other options both locally and internationally.

‘I will extend my contact with Hearts of Oak, not because the hierarchy of the club are insisting, but due to the love I have for the fans, the skipper told Angel fm.

‘In life it is always good to reciprocate the good things other people do for you.  The fans were behind me in thick and thin, especially when I was excluded from the Local Black Stars team for the CHAN.

‘The supporters agitated for my inclusion until I informed them, I was excluded on medical grounds, before they calmed down the situation and they continued to express their love when I was going through treatment.

Moro Abubakar’s current contract expires at the end of the season and has been offered a new deal to continue with the club.
