Beware Of Deputies Undermining Their Bosses – NDC MP Cautions President Mahama

A Member of Parliament (MP) of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) has cautioned President John Dramani Mahama, to be wary of deputy ministers who have been undermining sector ministers.

The MP in a chat with The Informer stated “I have come across some sensitive information in which some deputy ministers in the Mahama administration have been fighting technocrats in the various ministries over contracts and procurement matter.

Many of them do not do the work assigned them by their bosses the sector ministers, instead, they are more interested in contracts and procurement deals which are available in their respective ministries”.

“I have information of how some have, on countless occasions, swindled business men by extorting huge sums of money from them in the name of contracts. Wicked of all, they have embarked on an evil agenda of foul-mouthing their bosses to be removed from office, particularly in the pending reshuffle, anytime they are whipped into line by their sector ministers”, the MP added.

Asked who these deputy ministers were, he said “they are the loud mouthed in government who do not know their left from right”; and advised President Mahama to be careful of information he received especially with regards to his impending reshuffle.

Sounding very worried, the MP also asked President Mahama to be careful of some of his aides (names withheld) who are in the habit of undermining ministers and threatening their removal from office.
