Robert Anyimadu wins the Citi FM Cook for Mama 2014 competition

Robert Anyimadu has been adjudged the winner of the ultimate prize in this year’s Citi FM Cook for Mama Competition. His victory came after he impressed the judges with his boiled yam and garden egg stew, creatively decorated with groundnuts.

He was adjudged the best of five competitors and won ₵3000, a comprehensive treat at Allure Spa in the city, products and souvenirs for his wife as her mothers’ day present.

The Five fathers were selected out of hundreds of participants after their children wrote essays about the best lesson their mothers taught them.

Robert’s daughter’s entry described her mum as a super woman.

Rahel Afriyie wrote:
“When I was much younger, I didn’t understand the things my mother did. She would do all the house chores and go to school cheerfully. At that time she was at the Agogo Training College. She began to sell panties and kitchen ware at SEDATCO in Koforidua. Her weekdays and weekends were practically backbreaking. Although she never sat me down to explain things to me, I have learned from her that committing yourself to someone means going out of your way to provide the best for the people you care about.”

An elated Mrs. Anyimadu upon receiving the prize thanked Citi FM for such as wonderful initiative. According to her “it’s a unique opportunity for families to appreciate and support each other in a fun and rewarding way.”

The Cook for Mama promotion was sponsored by Lelé – Tasty Food, Happy Family and Daviva – Life is beautiful. The event was supported by LG.
