Easter will be robbery-free – Police

The Greater Accra Regional Police Command is set to deploy its personnel to all 10 regions across the country to ensure a robbery-free Easter.

Friday, April 18 begins the Easter holidays and according to the Police, criminals take advantage of the festive season to rob people of their belongings.

The Greater Accra Regional Commander, DCOP Christian Tetteh Yohuno disclosed that this is part of efforts to ensure criminal activities are curbed especially during the period.

He gave the assurance that β€œofficers will not sleep; everybody will be on the ground…we will all be on the ground. All senior officers will be on the ground.”

According to him, the same strategy which was used during the 31st December 2013 period will be employed in their patrols β€œso that we don’t encounter any robberies.”
