okyeame kwameMusician Okyeame Kwame has made a strong case for Richard ‘Olele’ Kingson to be called up to play for Ghana at the World Cup in Brazil.

Okyeame Kwame’s reason is that Olele’s experience can be tapped to better the gains of the senior national team.

In an interview with allsports.com.gh, he said he wants “Richard Olele Kingson in the team because his experience will be needed at the competition. I have been a musician for 16 years and people are trying to” OLELELISE” me. In Ghana when people have experience in something we tend to push them out instead of tapping from it because we believe in the young, fresher,  more energetic and faster person which is very good but we must learn to use experience properly.”

Richard Paul Franck Kingson is one of Ghana’s most capped players. At 35, he has appeared 90 times for Ghana and has a goal to his credit. It is widely believed that the ace goalie doesn’t have what it takes to guard the posts for the Black Stars at the World Cup, but Okyeame Kwame believes he’s one of the means by which Ghana can gain success in Brazil.

When Okyeame was asked what role he would like to play in the Black Stars, he said he would opt to be the drummer of the team.

“As a musician, I will opt for the chief drummer because of my music background. I have little knowledge on football so I obviously can’t do the technical bit but I am ready to help boost the morale of the players in camp,” he said.
