Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi has backed the national Under-17 team to rule Africa once again.

The Black Starlets recorded a 5-3 aggregrate win over South Africa to qualify to next year’s African Under-17 Championship.

The Ghanaians are making a return to the continental championship after a four-year absence.

And the country’s FA chief is delighted with the progress of coach Paa Kwesi Fabian’s young charges and believes they will conquer Africa once again.

“I am very happy with the performance of the team and I have no doubt in my mind that good things await this crop of players,” Nyantakyi said

‘It feels great to back after a four-year absence and I am hopeful that we will make a huge impact.

“The technical team will be given all the necessary support to ensure they go to Africa and make Ghana proud.”

The 2013 edition of the African Under-17 championship will be held from April 13-27.
