The Convoy of the , has come under another armed robbery attack at Addaikrom after campaigning at Bonsu Nkwanta and was returning to Juaboso in the Western Region. The incident happened around 8:30 pm (local time) last night.
The attack follows a similar one on his convoy at Tumu early last month.
According to GBC’s correspondent, Felix Cofie, Mr Ayariga had to fire at the robbers who first fired at him and they later escaped into the bush.
The robbers had earlier attacked three vehicles , one taxi with registration number AS 549- 10 KIA mini truck AS 2604 and Toyota Hilux with registration number, GS 7006– 10 belonging to Midland Savings and Loans Company.
The Branch Manager, Emmanuel Asare who was driving the car was shot in the left eye and left hand by the robbers and is currently receiving treatment at the Bonsu Nkwanta Hospital.
The convoy was forced to move back to Bonsu Nkwanta to call for police escort before continuing to Juaboso.
