Zambia: Mukuka Mulenga Among MTN-FAZ Awards Finalists

POWER Dynamos midfield duo of Mukuka Mulenga and Joseph Sitali are in the running for the 2012 MTN-FAZ Zambian Player-of-the-Year Award alongside Zesco United striker Jackson Mwanza.

The winner would be unveiled next week on Tuesday during the gala night set for the Government Complex in Lusaka where only Nkana striker Reynolds Kampamba is the known winner for the award of league top goalscorer after netting 14 goals.

Kampamba will, however, have to battle it out against Zanaco striker Moses Phiri and Lusamba Musonda of National Assembly for the Young Player-of-the-Year award.

Veteran striker Harry Milanzi from Napsa Stars, Power’s Emmanuel Chimpinde and Green Buffaloes defender and captain Dennis Banda are up for the Most Disciplined Player-of-the-Year award.

Keegan Mumba, who guided Zanaco to league triumph, has been nominated for the Coach-of-the-Year award alongside Power coach Beston Chambeshi and Konkola Mine Police trainer Masauso Mwale

Female referee Gladys Lengwe is up against FIFA referees Janny Sikazwe and Wellington Kaoma for the Best Referee-of-the-Year award with Bruno Tembo, Collins Kafwembe and Diana Chitotesha nominated for the Best Assistant Referee-of-the-Year award.
