The Senate has confirmed the nominations of Alhaji Yarima Aliyu Giade (Bauchi State), Honourable Andie Clement (Bayelsa) and Barrister Alakayi Mamman (Nasarawa) as members of the Federal Character Commission (FCC).
This followed the adoption of the report of the Senator Dahiru Kuta-led Senate Committee on Federal Character and Inter-Governmental Affairs, on the screening of the nominees.
Presenting the report, Senator Kuta said his committee found the nominees qualified, competent and suitable for the appointment.
Senate President Mark expressed optimism that the nominees would bring their experiences and knowledge to bear in making the commission what it ought to be.
