Naterial out with Samini

Hit Maker Naterial is out with his official debut track, ‘Adoley’, featuring Ghana’s dancehall King Samini in a collaboration that befits an award.

The 21-year-old upcoming musician has clearly demonstrated he is leaving no stone unturned to pursue his music career and that explains why he has self-sponsored the production of his official debut without waiting for MTN.

Although persons who have heard the track are praising MTN for the production, NEWS-ONE can confirm that Naterial and his manager, Quick Action, had to  look for money to produce the track without any sponsorship whatsoever from MTN.

Reports say Quick Action is relying on friends within the media to help promote the song.

After winning the Hit Maker contest some months back, several persons were surprised to hear an explanation from MTN that the GH¢100,000 price package, plus a year’s promotional deal that was largely advertised, was not exactly so and that the money would not be a cash amount but would be kept by MTN and used to produce and promote Naterial’s music career.

MTN however insists that it never promised or advertised a cash amount of GH¢100,000 and that what it promised was a recording deal for the winner.

Subsequently, the company organized a press conference and presented 10% of the winning amount to Naterial.

The young musician, over the weekend, proved his worth when he opened the stage for the Joy Fm Night With The Stars that saw a never-to-be-forgotten contest between musicians from Tema and their Accra based counterparts.

Performing his ‘Adoley’ and ‘Maamle’ tracks, Naterial proved his worth in a performance which earned him a standing ovation and got the audience talking about him.

Reports say Reggae Song of the Year winner Blakk Rasta, and BET award winner Sarkodie are also billed for collaborations with Naterial and all these tracks would be part of his debut album to be released before the end of year, depending on funds made available to his management.

Speaking in a previous interview with NEWS-ONE about Naterial, Quick Action described the 21-year-old as someone who “has the right attitude, the showmanship on stage, the ability of moving the crowd and a very bright future that would be greatly enhanced”.

“Naterial is just different; he is very good with the live band stuff and his style is dynamic.

He is the type of artiste we have been looking for as far as the future of Ghana’s music industry is concerned.

If South Africa has given the world Lucky Dube and Ivory Coast has given the world Alpha Blonde, Ghana is about to give the world Naterial,” Quick Action noted in an interview in which he pleaded with the general public to vote for Naterial while the Hit Maker competition was ongoing.
