The remains of Madam Elsie Iyenginabaibo Abel Dede, mother of Nollywood actor and the Director-General, Rivers State Tourism Development Board, Sam Dede, was finally laid to rest yesterday, Saturday, November 24, 2012 in Rivers State.
The burial ceremony was held at Ogbodo in Okrika Local Government Area of Rivers State. The commendation service took place at the St. Peter’s Cathedral Church, Okrika, Rivers State. On Thursday, November 22, a service of songs was held in her honour at the Port Harcourt Civic Centre, Moscow Road, Rivers State.
A thanksgiving service for the success of the burial rites will hold today at the St. Peter’s Cathedral Church.
Madam Elsie Dede died on October 30, 2012 after a brief illness. She was a philanthropist, community leader and business mogul, as described by Sam Dede.
