Ghana striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom scored in the second week running after grabbing a brace for Sassuolo in their 3-1 win over Reggina in the Italian Serie B on Saturday.

Sassuolo were looking to bounce back onto winning ways after failing to snatch victory at Brescia and the 19-year-old Boakye gave them a perfect start when he scored in the 18th minute to put them ahead.

Fabio Ceravolo cancelled out Boakye’s opener for Reggina six minutes later but Gennaro Troianiello restored the lead for the Green and Blacks at the Stadio Alberto Braglia.

Boakye-Yiadom then killed off any potential fight-back from the visitors by scoring three minutes after the break to finish the game 3-1.

The on-loan Juventus striker has taken his Serie B tally to six goals in twelve games.

Compatriot Yussif Raman Chibsah was replaced after 73 minutes.
