MUSIGA to stage another peace concert

On the 1st of December, the Musicians Union of Ghana will stage a free concert at the Holy Gardens at Kwame Nkrumah Circle.

The concert, dubbed MUSIGA Peace Concert is one of the activities that the Union is embarking on as a means of promoting peace among Ghanaians as the December 7th general elections comes close. It will start at 7PM.

The concert will feature an array of musical acts whose peace songs are part of the MUSIGA Peace Song Compilation Album Volume 1 and 2. It will also have performances from some very seasoned musicians who will all give messages of peace to the audience.

The MUSIGA Peace Compilation Albums is a brainchild of the Union.

Artists were asked to submit their peace related songs so they would be compiled into an album. Some of the artists whose songs are on the album are Edem, Okyeame Kwame, Lynx All Stars, Badwen Ba, Nyame Akwan Group, Obour, Nana Akua Bondzie, Bro Ernest, Onyame Akwan Nwomkro Group, kwabena Nyanney, Jesus Evangelical and Samini.

A first Peace Concert was staged at the Jubilee Park in Kumasi a fortnight ago. The appreciative audience was thrilled to varying degrees of performances from the artists who mounted the stage.

The Accra Concert is expected to draw a wide array of audience who will be entertained and educated on peace. This is one way in which the Union is adding our voice to hopefully peaceful elections and for peace in Ghana.
