President Mahama Begins Campaign Tour Of Brong Ahafo

President John Dramani Mahama has on the second day of his Brong Ahafo campaign tour called on the people to put aside party and tribal affiliations after elections and work together towards national development.

He intimated that usually after elections members on the winning side create divisions between themselves and members of the other political parties breaking down communal spirit which retards development.

President Mahama reiterated the point that he will preside over an all inclusive government where everyone will have a sense of belonging.

The President addressed separate rallies at Chiraa, Nkoranza,Yeji and Atebubu.

President Mahama had earlier called on the Chief of Chiraa and the Chief of Nkoranza Nana Okertekyie Agyeman Kudom.

As a Father in-law, Nana Agyeman Kudom presented President Mahama with ten tubers of Yam and what he called a Victory Ram.

He thanked the government for the many development projects like roads, schools, an ICT centre and Magazine for Artisans.

The President was also at the Palace of the Chief of Yeji Penempem Yaw Kagberese who is the newly elected President of the Brong Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs.

He expressed gratitude to the government for the completion of the first phase of road projects in the town.

At Atebubu where a large crowd had gathered waiting for the President he had a good piece of news for them.

The area lacks potable water. President Mahama told the crowd that a team will be instructed as soon as possible to connect light to the water pumping station for delivery of water to the people.
