Pepperoni donates relief materials to Bayelsa flood victims

PEPPERONI Foods Limited has donated food items and relief materials to Bayelsa flood victims.

The Audit/ Internal Control Manager of the company, Mr. Emmanuel Essiet who handed the items, which include bags of rice and beans, garri, yams, cartons of water, mattresses, mosquito nets, beverages, toiletries, tinned tomatoes, bread and others, to the Bayelsa State SSG, Prof. Edmund Allison Oguru, said the gesture was to help in ameliorating the plight of the displaced persons in the state.

He noted that the company was concerned about the well being of its host communities, hence the decision to intervene in the predicament of the state and the people.

“Bayelsa State is the home of Pepperoni Foods and it is particularly painful for us to see the homes and businesses of our customers and staff being ravaged by the storm” he said.

Prof. Allison-Oguru while receiving the items on behalf of the state government commended the company for its prompt response to the plight of the victims.

He said the items would go a long way in ameliorating the suffering of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the state.
