Deportivo, Barca to test Sevilla’s good start

Sevilla will look to continue with their improved form in La Liga when they take on Deportivo La Coruna on Monday night before hosting log leaders Barcelona on Saturday night.

The Sevillistas are unbeaten in their opening four fixtures, winning two and drawing the other two, and will be looking to extend their unbeaten streak.

However, the two games will not be easy for Michel Gonzalez men as both Deportivo and Barcelona are unbeaten this season, but their confidence will be boosted by the recent 1-0 win over defending champions Real Madrid.

The return of Jose Antonio Reyes and Diego Perotti from injury means Michel has his full first team squad of 24-players available for selection for Monday’s trip, which is proving to be a headache for the former Getafe coach.

“Having to leave six players out is a problem,” Michel told reporters. “The guys are all working hard but the hardest decision will be which players to take.

“Winning in Riazor will be the same as winning against Madrid; we know it’s going to be a difficult game.”

Sevilla are currently in sixth place with six points, and a convincing win could see them moving into the top three prior to their clash against Barca.
