Masina off to Cyprus for trials

Dennis Masina

Swazi international Dennis ‘Yuki’ Masina will fly out of South Africa on Thursday to attend a one-week trial with Cyprus Premier league outfit Alki Larnaca.

Alki Larnaca finished the league in eighth spot last season.

The one-week trial with the Cyprus outfit has been organised by Masina’s club, Mpumalanga Black Aces.

Interviewed by MTNFootball.com on Wednesday afternoon, Masina said he is eager to win a contract with the Cyprus side.

“I have been to Belgium and played there for more than a year so I am accustomed to conditions overseas.

“I want to take his opportunity because it is the last opportunity for me to play overseas,” Masina told MTNFootball.com.

Masina, who earlier been linked with a move to newly promoted Premier Soccer League outfit Chippa United, said he has been keeping fit all by himself after the season ended with Mpumalanga Black Aces relegated  from the First Division.
