The much publicized and controversial wedding between Funke Akindele and Kehinde Almaroof finally held today, May 26, 2012 at Ikeja, Lagos.
The wedding took place at The Havens Event Centre, Oba Akinjobi Road, GRA, Ikeja at 12 noon. This was in contrary to the publicised All Season Plaza venue initially meant for the event. Both parents of the couple were in attendance with some Nollywood stars.
There was a quick Christian ceremony officiated by Rev. M Ogunsobi then a wedding reception thereafter.
Genevieve Nnaji, Ireti Osayemi, Eldee The Don and some others were part of the celebs present.
The traditional wedding ceremony was anchored by Foluke Ogunjimi well known from ‘Sokoyoto’ TV cooking programme while Gbenga Adeyinka is the event MC
