Nemanja Vidic and Fernando Torres targets for Juventus FC

Italian giants Juventus are reportedly preparing to launch bids for Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic and Chelsea striker Fernando Torres.

Torres has been linked with a number of clubs in recent weeks, with Paris Saint-Germain and Anzhi Makhachkala both known to be keen.

But according to the Daily Mirror, Juve want both him and Vidic as they prepare for their return to the Champions League next season.

Vidic, who is out until next season after suffering knee ligament damage late last year, has been on Antonio Conte’s radar for some time, although it seems unlikely that United boss Sir Alex Ferguson will be prepared to let him go unless talks over a new contract hit problems.

Torres has featured regularly for Chelsea under interim manager Roberto Di Matteo, but with the Blues being linked with the likes of Porto striker Hulk, Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Higuain and Napoli duo Ezequiel Lavezzi and Edinson Cavani, his future still remains uncertain.
