Liberia: Micat Boss Receives Egyptian Culture Troupe

Liberia’s Information Minister Lewis Brown Tuesday received a 15-member delegation of the Egyptian Culture Troupe, visiting here. In a chart with members of the troupe at his office on Capitol Hill, Monrovia, Minister Brown expressed the Government of Liberia delight in receiving the Egyptian Culture Troupe in the country.

The Public Affairs Section of the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism said in a release Tuesday that Minister Brown expressed hope that some cultural actions will add value and multiply effects on the development exchanges and cooperation between Egypt and Liberia.

Brown is said to have acknowledged that the cultural week in Liberia signifies that the people of Egypt are always willing to buttress the efforts of the Liberian government in bringing to prominence the issue of culture in the country.

The release further stated that Minister Brown expressed satisfaction that these kinds of visits will facilitate cultural cooperation and strengthen ties among African states. He noted that the initiatives are clear support for the integration process through the creation of community cultural awareness. He promised that the people of Liberia are ready to join other partners to increase the movement and promotion of cultural works and information.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Mohammed Regab, noted that his government is interested in promoting culture troupes to get involved activities that promote African Solidarity, particularly in the area of cultural exchange.
