AC Milan keen on Werder Bremen’s Wiese

AC Milan are reportedly interesting in picking up Werder Bremen goalkeeper Tim Wiese on a Bosman transfer.

The Germany international is out of contract in June and he has already expressed his willingness to move abroad at the end of the season.

According to Sport-Bild, AC Milan have identified Wiese as the perfect cut-price option to put pressure on Christian Abbiati for the No.1 jersey at San Siro.

The paper also claims that Bremen are already looking for potential replacements for the 30-year-old.

One option is Kaiserslautern’s Kevin Trapp, who Sport-Bild claims would reportedly cost somewhere in the region of €1.5 million, and another possibility is fellow Germany Under-21 international Oliver Baumann, who is presently Freiburg’s first-choice goalkeeper.

Wiese arrived at Werder Bremen in the summer of 2005, and has since made over 150 appearances for the Green-Whites.
