Ablordey Returns To Kotoko

Godwin Ablordey

FORMER KUMASI Asante Kotoko Captain Godwin Ablordey is returning to the club after many years of absence, DAILY GUIDE SPORTS can state.

The enterprising midfielder is however not returning to the club where he used to dazzle soccer fans with splendid football skills several seasons ago as a player. Ablordey is returning to Kotoko in a different capacity as he is billed to join the Kumasi Asante Kotoko technical bench where his experience in the game could be tapped.

Sources close to Ablordey hinted DAILY GUIDE SPORTS that talks between the club and the former midfielder have been successful so far and it looked like Ablordey would return to the Kotoko family soon.

The former Kotoko skipper, when he eventually returns to Kotoko, probably by the close of the week, would take charge of one of the several Kotoko junior teams.

Ablordey was one of the most adored local based players during his time, featuring for clubs like Accra Hearts of Oak, Kotoko and Alhaji Grunsah’s King Faisal.

The midfielder, who has interest in the coaching business, somewhere last year tried joining the Kotoko technical team but his ambition fizzled out in the last minute.
