Ghana assistant coach Kwesi Appiah says the Black Stars must find a way to break down Mali at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The West African neighbours clash in the top-of-the-table encounter at the Stade de Franceville on Saturday in Group D.

Ghana beat Botswana 1-0 in their opener and Mali recorded the same scoreline victory against Guinea.

Appiah believes the Black Stars will surmount the challenge against the Eagles.

“The team tactics and approach for this game will be not be that too different from the first game but we will change a few things accordingly,” the ex-Black Stars captain told Cafonline.com

“Mali put up a solid display and mounted an effective defence against Guinea so we have been working on getting goals and to do so we need to find ways to break them down.”

Ghana rallied from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Mali during the 2010 Fifa World Cup qualifiers in 2009.
