The second window for player registration in the ongoing Glo Premier League will begin on 10th December, 2011 and end on 7th January, 2012.

As has been a regular feature of the premiership in recent years, clubs are given the opportunity to add to their stock of players to give them competitive urge.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Sports Morning Show on Monday, the Premier League boss, Mr. Welbeck Abra Appiah said he was very happy with the way things had gone so far in the ongoing league and was hopeful the second window would give the clubs the opportunity to augment their squads.

He explained that the process will follow the same routine in the major registration period – registration, publication and verification.

According to him, the process will be two-fold; the registration for the locally based players will begin on 10th December, 2011 and end on 7th January, 2012 whilst players with other Federations other than the GFA will begin on 2nd January 2012 and end on 1st February, 2012.

The PLB boss added that letters to this effect were sent to all the 16 clubs last Friday and hoped the clubs will respond accordingly and contact the IT department of the GFA to ensure that the process goes proceeds smoothly.

Meanwhile, the PLB boss has confirmed that the week 9 matches of the ongoing Glo Premier League will come off this Wednesday, 30th November, 2011.
