Surprise surprise! AKA and Bonang staged their weekend long break up. The rapper has come out to say it was all for the culture and y\u2019all bought it and ran away with it. \u201cWe planned everything,\u201d AKA admits to lying about the break up.<\/p>\n

AKA says the staged break up was a publicity stunt for his new single, \u201cCaiphus Song\u201d. \u201cI got the idea that instead of Valentine\u2019s Day, I should do something kind of anti-Valentine\u2019s Day due to the content of the song. I then came up with the idea and developed it from there,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

AKA says he had to come up with a strategy to keep people talking throughout the weekend up until\u00a0Tuesday<\/span>. \u201cWe planned all the tweets from\u00a0Friday<\/span>\u00a0up until the gift\u00a0on Monday<\/span>, and eventually the release,\u201d he revealed.<\/p>\n
