Afro-soul singer Simphiwe Dana has cleared the beef between her and DJ Black Coffee saying it was just a misunderstanding.<\/p>\n

Back when Simphiwe was still new in the music scene Black Coffee remixed her song without her permission and that did not sit well with the \u2018Ndiredi\u2019 singer.<\/p>\n

Clarifying the misunderstanding Simphiwe told the Sowetan that it was just bad timing on the DJ\u2019s part.<\/p>\n

She explained: \u201cAt the time I said that Black Coffee should not remix my music yet. Cause I was very new in the industry\u2026 With a very different sound too.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t want people to want to book a \u2018Simphiwe Dana of Black Coffee\u2019s remix\u2019 then when I get there they say \u2018where is that sound\u2019. I didn\u2019t want my brand to be misunderstood at a very early stage in my career,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
