Khaya Dladla Opens Up About His Character GC Being More Popular Than Him!<\/strong> Most people would probably recognize the actor by his Uzalo character, GC and some might call him that and not know his real name.<\/p>\n Khaya recently opened up about dealing with the fame of \u2018GC\u2019 and fighting to make sure his brand as Khaya doesn\u2019t get limited to just one character.<\/p>\n \u201cIt got so bad that I had to go to a whole media junket so I could introduce myself properly to SA and the world, as Khaya. I had to do that to express the Khaya brand because GC is very popular where else Khaya wasn\u2019t as well known,\u201d he admitted.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The actor has since focused on expanding her brand with TV and radio shows to make his fans know him as Khaya Dladla.<\/p>\n \u201cPeople don\u2019t necessarily know Khaya. But I feel like they will eventually get to it at some point. Some people are getting it and some people not yet, but it\u2019s an ongoing process. I am a very basic person \u2013 just a hard working artist. I\u2019m not a celebrity, I just need work,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n \u201cI am not actually afraid that GC or Gold Diva will take over because Khaya is the core. He is the real me and the source for the TV roles I play and will play as well as of social media alter-ego.
