Police Reportedly Issue A Warrant Of Arrest For Zahara Over Tax Evasion Allegations. Celebrities locally and internationally are now strangers to getting in trouble with the law because of evading their tax payments. The likes of Bonang Matheba, Somizi Mhlongo and more have been embroiled in tax evasions scandals and it looks like another well known celeb is wanted for the committing the same crime.<\/strong> <\/p>\n According to reports a warrant of arrest has been issued for the singer after she failed to appear in court for not submitting her personal tax returns. The warrant was issued on Friday by the Johannesburg commercial crimes court in the Palm Ridge magistrate\u2019s court.<\/p>\n The Country Girl hitmaker\u2019s tax drama goes as far back as June of this year when Zahara was charged by the NPA on behalf of her company Zahara Trading (Pty) Ltd, for not submitting income tax returns to Sars (SA Revenue Service). Sunday World publication reported that Zahara was faced with one count of contravening tax laws and six more for failing to submit her tax returns from 2013 to 2018.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Zahara real name Bulelwa Mkutukana was not only ordered to appear in court but was given strict orders to hand in her passport to the commercial crimes officers within 24 hours of the court appearance, and report to the Roodepoort police station twice a week between 8am and 6pm.\u00a0<\/p>\n NPA spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwane confirmed the news adding that\u00a0the matter has since been held over until Wednesday, October 27.<\/p>\n \u201cWe can confirm that a warrant of arrest has been issued for Bulelwa \u201cZahara\u201d Mtukukana for her failure to appear in the Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court sitting in Palm Ridge on her charge of failing to submit her personal tax returns. But it was held over until Wednesday October 27,\u201d<\/em> she said.<\/p>\n According to reports, the warrant of arrest was issued a month after the songstress landed her second criminal record. This follows the singers guilty plea of evading company tax which resulted in a payment of R2000.<\/p>\n On the up side of things, the award winning musician recently revealed she is venturing into the world of business with her very own haircare range. Zaza took to twitter to announce her brand new hair product line named Zahara Country Girl<\/em>, after her third studio album that was released in 2015. The range includes moisturizer\u2019s afro oil, scalp treatment and more. The singer has yet to share more about the products but has urged fans to stay tuned.<\/p>\n <\/p><\/div>\n
