Dr Gabor Mat\u00e9, a renowned physician, notes that these diseases are often linked to specific traits:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Putting others&#8217; feelings above your own.<\/li>\n<li>Ignoring your own needs.<\/li>\n<li>Suppressing &#8220;healthy anger.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In today\u2019s dating world, many women feel pressured to stay &#8220;chill&#8221; in ambiguous situationships. This keeps the nervous system in a constant state of &#8220;high alert&#8221;, which slowly wears down your body\u2019s ability to stay healthy.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"baobab-embedded-image\" src=\"https:\/\/image-prod.iol.co.za\/resize\/650x65000?source=https:\/\/iol-prod.appspot.com\/image\/f85ef7d607cec8f8adbc7db571f97f3229e05948\/4492\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"650\"><figcaption>Secure relationships release oxytocin, which lowers stress. Dating burnout<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Dating App burnout&#8221; is being treated as a real clinical condition. It happens when you feel that no matter how hard you try, nothing changes. This leads to a &#8220;numb&#8221; feeling that can affect your work and friendships.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A solution: &#8220;Health-first&#8221; dating<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Women are fighting back against these trends by choosing &#8220;slow dating&#8221; and &#8220;somatic awareness&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Here is how to reclaim your well-being:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Trust your body. Stop looking at the profile and start looking at your physical reactions.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gut check: Does your chest tighten or your stomach knot when you see their name? That\u2019s your body\u2019s &#8220;first responder&#8221; alerting you to a misalignment.<\/li>\n<li>Healthy anger: Don&#8217;t suppress your feelings. Anger is a boundary-setter that tells you when you&#8217;re being mistreated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Set digital boundaries<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The rule of 5: Only talk to five people at a time.
