The well-known radio DJ is embarking on an exciting new chapter in her career, having officially joined the popular Durban radio station, Gagasi FM.<\/p>\n
\u201cDurban, I\u2019m home for a brand new chapter \ud83d\ude80,\u201d she expressed.<\/p>\n
Dlamini, who rose to fame as a presenter, is now the co-host of the weekday drive show, <\/span>The Gagasi Fastlane, which airs from 3pm to 6pm on weekdays.<\/p>\n She made her debut on the station on Tuesday, teaming up with the beloved duo Sphectacula and DJ Naves, affectionately referred to as “The Kings of the Weekend”.<\/p>\n In a video shared on Instagram, Dlamini announced her homecoming, featuring moments with her son at the beach, enjoying the waves and glimpses of her home.<\/p>\n \u201cSome places never stop calling you back. Where the waves hold your memories and the wind whispers what\u2019s next \u2026 my heart lies at eGagasini, and that\u2019s where I return. Durban, I am home for a brand-new chapter,\u201d she said in the video.<\/p>\n Although Dlamini has made a name for herself in Johannesburg, often dubbed the “city of lights”, she was born and raised in Durban.<\/p>\n Her return to the station follows the departure of Thandi \u2018Zisto\u2019 Mhlongo, who co-hosted <\/span>The Gagasi Fastlane with Sphe and Naves, before resigning in March after seven years to join East Coast Radio.<\/p>\n Dlamini is no stranger to making headlines, having recently been involved in a public dispute with controversial podcaster Macgyver ‘MacG’ Mukwevho.<\/p>\n During an episode of his popular YouTube show, \u201cPodcast and Chill\u201d, Mukwevho made derogatory remarks about Dlamini\u2019s breakup with plastic surgeon Dr Brian Monaisa.<\/p>\n He questioned her ability to maintain a relationship and made crude comments regarding her hygiene.<\/p>\n In response, Dlamini condemned MacG\u2019s comments, stating that nothing was entertaining or provocative about exploiting a woman\u2019s body for clout or content.<\/p>\n An apology was later issued to her by the attorney of \u201cPodcast and Chill\u201d, but the damage had already been done.<\/p>\n Taking the opportunity to address the public discourse surrounding her name, Dlamini expressed her intent to pursue legal action against Mukwevho.<\/p>\n She shared her disbelief and pain at how her name, body and dignity had been dragged through the mud due to the vile and humiliating comments made by him.<\/p>\n \u201cTo apologise now, only when public pressure threatens their image, is to centre their own reputational damage rather than the trauma inflicted on others. And so I must say: words without genuine accountability are hollow,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n Despite the unnecessary drama, Dlamini has also been enjoying life.<\/p>\n Recently, she took a break from work to indulge in a European getaway, sharing her vibrant experiences with fans through Instagram updates.<\/p>\n Known for her love of fashion and culture, Dlamini fully embraced her Parisian adventure, sharing captivating snippets from a city renowned for its rich history, iconic landmarks and culinary delights.<\/p>\n Her posts showcased elegant lunches and chic outdoor dining at local eateries, including a luxurious meal at the Ritz with her friend, Alia Ghussein.<\/p>\n With her return to Durban and new role at Gagasi FM, Dlamini is poised for an exciting journey ahead, both personally and professionally.<\/p>\n\n
