The actress recently spoke to TshisaLIVE about having been in an abusive relationship in the past and how acting has helped her deal with the experience.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe told me, for the first time that his step-father abused his mother. He went on to describe the nature of the abuse..he told me he would walk into the bathroom to find a pool of blood. I remember that something inside of me told me this wasn\u2019t a good sign,\u201d she shared.
