TV lovers have grown accustomed to certain roles on popular shows who a lot of the time get written off, which we think is rather heartbreaking. Mzansi Magic drama Gomora has become a fan favourite for its thrilling story and talented cast.<\/strong><\/p>\n Other the years, the cast has grown larger and the audience has taken a liking to some characters more than others. Don played by veteran actor Israel Zulu is a definite favourite but unfortunately his time on the show has come to an end. Speaking to Sunday World, Zulu confirmed the news stating his contract was not renewed and he is peace with the productions decision.<\/p>\n \u201cYes am leaving. My contract was not renewed,\u201d the actor said.<\/p>\n Zulu who joined the show\u2019s second season a few months ago shared that this is a chance to give another deserving actor a platform to showcase their talent and there is no bad blood between him and the production. According to the show\u2019s public relations department, Zulu\u2019s storyline has come to an end and there are no underlying reasons for his departure. Although his character is still onscreen, Zulu has already cut ties with the production.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cWe can confirm that he was not fired but his story came to an end. Unfortunately after the woman dies, he found himself back in Gomora, having to reconcile with his baby mama and son.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ll be playing Don. He had a relationship with Zodwa, played by Sannah Mchunu, and they had Teddy. He dumped Zodwa for a rich woman and went to live in mansions. Unfortunately, the woman recently died,<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cNow he\u2019s down and out as the wife\u2019s family took everything and he has returned to Alex. He\u2019ll come back with his daughter Sibongile. Don will also be competition for Mam\u2019Sonto, played by\u00a0Connie Chiume. He struggles a lot after returning and ends up getting into hijacking. Soon he starts taking over Sonto\u2019s operations,\u201d<\/em> he said<\/p>\n Fans seemed to be devastated by the news of the actors departure however, they are also revealed as they thought the actors true potential was not unleashed on the show.<\/p>\n <\/p><\/div>\n
