Luyanda Zuma Grateful After Being Crowned Miss South Africa 2025 First Runner-Up

Actress and brand ambassador Luyanda Zuma has every reason to smile after being crowned first runner-up at Miss South Africa 2025. The prestigious event took place on Saturday, 25 October, at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria, where South Africa’s most beautiful and inspiring women competed for the crown.

After the show, Luyanda took to Instagram to express her joy and gratitude.

She wrote, “Being Sashed First Runner-Up at Miss South Africa is a moment I’ll cherish forever, not just for what it represents, but for what it means in God’s divine plan. Every message, every word of love and encouragement has touched my heart deeply. Through it all, l’ve been reminded that His will has been done. I am exactly where I’m meant to be walking in purpose, grace, and gratitude. I am my ancestors’ wildest dream, standing tall because of the prayers, sacrifices, and strength that came before me. And for that, I am endlessly thankful. Ngiyabonga kakhulu.”

Her post received an outpouring of love and congratulations from fans, fellow contestants, and celebrities. Miss South Africa 2025, Qhawekazi Mazaleni, celebrated her journey, commenting, “What an honour to walk this road with you. I absolutely adore you!”

Actress and TV host Nomalanga Shozi also showed her support, saying, “With all my heart, I LOVE YOU.”

Meanwhile, media personality K Naomi praised Luyanda for her poise and inspiration, writing, “You did so well… Carried yourself with grace, confidence and everything you could possibly share with South Africa. Congratulations beautiful girl, thank you for inspiring other young black girls to dream and make their dreams a reality.”

Feeling overwhelmed by the love she received, Luyanda later shared another heartfelt message:

“I wish I could respond to everyone, but l’m struggling to keep up with all this love and support l’ve received. Thank you so, so much to everyone who has reached out and poured their heart out to me. Inkosi inibusise. Ngiyabonga kakhulu.”

Luyanda’s journey is proof that purpose and passion always shine through. Even without the crown, she walked away as a queen in her own right — loved, admired, and deeply grateful.
