Emotional connections: What men really seek on OnlyFans

If you think OnlyFans is all steamy photos and kinky chats, think again.

Yes, of course, that stuff is there, but for a surprising number of men, that’s not what they’re really after.

According to a report shared by Need To Know from Supercreator, an AI-powered OnlyFans management platform, a huge 78 per cent of conversations from the site’s biggest spenders aren’t even about sex.

Instead, guys are talking about their pets, their jobs, and their childhood memories.

Yep, men are using OnlyFans to chat about real-life, everyday stuff, and they’re paying big bucks for the privilege.

Yuval, CEO of Supercreator, explains that this shift isn’t accidental.

“Contrary to popular belief, our data shows that top spenders on OnlyFans aren’t just looking for explicit content, they’re seeking emotional connection,” he said.

“These fans are investing in what we call the girlfriend experience, an ongoing, intimate relationship built through DMs. Nudity is easy to find online. But meaningful, consistent attention from the creator of your dreams? That’s what drives loyalty and revenue.”

And that seems to be the case for top creators like Sophie Rain, who’s basically a superstar on the platform.

With over seven million followers on Instagram (@sophieraiin), Sophie’s top fan has reportedly spent more than $6 million (about R107 million) over two years.

Sophie has seven million followers on Instagram.

Yet, she says, sexual content is barely on the agenda.

“We talk every single day, without fail,” she says. “Charley, who is married and lives in the US, sends voice notes wondering how my day is going. He loves getting to know me on a personal level.”

This kind of relationship might seem one-sided, but fans often tip generously and send extravagant gifts as tokens of affection.

For them, it’s about feeling close to someone who listens, responds, and seemingly cares.

According to Supercreator’s data, here are the top things men chat about on OnlyFans:

  • Where they grew up
  • Work drama or wins
  • Hobbies like gaming, cooking, or sports
  • Their pets
  • The creator’s latest Instagram posts or vacations
  • TV shows, movies, and books
  • Fitness and workouts

Sex only comes up in about 15 per cent of conversations.
