South African rapper and television presenter Nomuzi Mabena, popularly known as Moozlie, has fans buzzing after sharing her thoughts on the return of the iconic entertainment show, V-Entertainment.
Moozlie took to Instagram to post a photo of herself along with Dineo Moeketsi, Nonhle Thema, and Denise Zimba — all former presenters of the hit show. She captioned it: “I don’t know who needs to hear this but…BRING BACK V-ENTERTAINMENT!!! Because man… what a time!”
The photo, which appears to be a recent snapshot of the group, immediately sparked excitement online, especially for fans who enjoyed watching V-Entertainment during its peak. Many of Moozlie’s followers agreed with her, and well-known personalities joined in the conversation.
TV presenter Nonhle Thema commented, “Oooh YES please collaborate with me sexy.”
Actress and TV host Lalla Hirayama added, “man such good vibes here.”
Actress and TV presenter Hope Mbhele also shared her love, saying, “The girlies that inspired us to dream bless you!!”
V-Entertainment was one of South Africa’s most loved live entertainment and celebrity lifestyle shows. Similar to America’s E! News, it aired on the youth channel Vuzu, and later Vuzu Amp. The show covered everything from local and international celebrity news to fashion, gossip, and music. It was famous for its fun and “tongue-in-cheek” interview style, and over the years featured popular presenters such as Somizi Mhlongo, Nomuzi Mabena, and Siyabonga “Scoop” Ngwekazi.
After eight successful years, the weekday show came to an end on Friday, June 30, 2017, with a special one-hour final episode. At the time, M-Net told TVwithThinus that the show was not cancelled but would be taking a break instead of continuing while being reworked.
With Moozlie’s recent post and the overwhelming support from fans and fellow celebrities, many are wondering if this beloved show could make a real comeback. For now, the nostalgia is strong — and clearly, the viewers want their favourite entertainment show back on screen.
