South African singer Nomcebo Zikode celebrated her 40th birthday in style and a romantic proposal from her husband, Selwyn Fraser.
The couple has been reportedly married for some years, and the proposal was just a renewal of their endearing love.
The “Jerusalema” hit maker celebrated her “4th Edition” birthday party in an intimate set-up on October 28, and it was in breathtaking style, from the venue, the food, to her birthday cake, which was covered with her pictures.
The birthday celebration was attended by industry peers such as news anchor Masechaba Mposwa, Pearl Thusi, who was on the decks, Khaya Dladla and more.
For entertainment, the attendees enjoyed a performance by amapiano vocalist Lady Du, among other performers.
Zikode also gave her guests a special performance of her viral, award-winning song, which she was featured on by Master KG.

But what was really the cherry on top was her hubby’s spoils and vow renewal proposal.
Fraser gifted Zikode with a brand new flashy Bentley, and no, it was not the champagne one she flaunted back in August.
Earlier this year, the singer flaunted her new purchase, sharing pictures of herself next to her Bentley alongside her son and mother with the caption: “Living the life I once prayed for.”

This time, it was a different version of the luxurious car, parked outside the venue, covered in a white cloth with a red giant bow on it, ready to be unveiled.
Zikode was joined by her guests outside as they cheered her on to unveil the car.

That surprise was later followed by her husband getting on one knee and praising his wife, showering her with words of love while asking her to let it be known that she is taken.
Additionally, the Grammy-winning singer continued the celebrations with a birthday photoshoot on 29 October. She posted a series of pictures on Instagram, writing that she was “still celebrating because a queen deserves extended royalty treatment.”
In another post, she wrote: “Not just ageing, I’m upgrading. Level 40 unlocked! Thank you, Lord, for the journey. Zolo lokhu bengina 15 years (just yesterday I was 15 years); time is flying. I’m grateful to have lived this long. Happy birthday to me.”
