South African reality TV star Tshegofatso Manche recently opened up about her marriage in a heartfelt interview that has captured the attention of social media users. The former Mommy Club cast member appeared on the Engineer Your Life Podcast with Lungelo KM on Tuesday, 28 October 2025, where she shared her thoughts on what marriage means to her and how it has changed her life.

In a snippet shared online, Tshego spoke openly about the reality of marriage and the lessons she’s learned along the way. She started by addressing one of the most common questions she receives: the “secret” to a happy marriage.

“Everybody asks me the formula of marriage and the secret of marriage. You look like you are in a happy marriage, and I just wanna say that there isn’t any and many would think I’m lying, but I’m not,” she said. “Marriage has seasons, nobody talks about sometimes you just want to pack your bags, and sometimes you wanna love the hell out of each other.”

Her honesty resonated with many people, as she explained that marriage isn’t always perfect—it’s about balance, patience, and love through every stage.

Tshego went on to share what she believes truly matters when choosing a life partner. “Marry someone with a good heart because a good heart will make you last longer in your marriage. A person with a good heart is amazing and the right person to wanna tie the knot with,” she added.

The reality star also touched on how her marriage helped her embrace her softer, more feminine side after years of working hard in male-dominated spaces. “It is so nice to be with a man who I never felt like I had to be masculine,” she shared. “You must understand from 19 to 29, hard work, meetings, grafting, going to rooms where I’m the only woman sometimes. It gears up a lot of defence and masculinity.”

She expressed gratitude for her husband, who made her feel comfortable and supported enough to relax and enjoy her femininity. “I love clothes, I love all things girly. My husband gave me that. He gave me that because he was so well in his stance of being a man I was able to let down my receptors and be protected and be fully feminine,” she said.

Tshego’s candid and emotional reflection reminded fans that marriage is not about perfection but about finding peace, love, and growth with the right person.
