South Africa recorded their fifth consecutive victory against Pakistan Women on Tuesday in the ongoing ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup being co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.It marks the first time the Proteas Women have achieved five straight wins in a World Cup tournament.

In the second match of the tournament, South Africa desperately needed someone to step up after being bowled out for just 69 in their opening game. Tazmin Brits answered the call, blasting 101 — her fifth century of the calendar year — becoming the first South African woman to achieve that feat. Nadine de Klerk – 82 not out and 2/52 vs India

After bouncing back against New Zealand, South Africa found themselves in trouble once again in their third match against India.Enter Nadine de Klerk, who produced a brilliant all-round display, striking an unbeaten 82 and taking 2/52. Her clean hitting under pressure helped maintain South Africa’s unbeaten run of three consecutive ODI World Cup victories over India.

Chloé Tryon – 62 not out and 1/41 vs Bangladesh

Despite scoring a fifty in the previous game against India, Chloé Tryon was disappointed not to have finished the job.Against Bangladesh in Visakhapatnam, she made no such mistake. Tryon remained unbeaten on 62, taking a key wicket to guide South Africa to their third straight win.

Something clicked for Marizanne Kapp in South Africa’s penultimate round-robin clash against Pakistan in Colombo.From the moment she walked out to bat, Kapp looked in supreme touch, smashing an unbeaten 68 as South Africa piled up over 300 runs in 40 overs.With the ball, she was just as devastating, claiming 3/20 with the new ball to rip through Pakistan’s top order and seal the Proteas’ fifth consecutive ICC Women’s World Cup win — a record achievement for the side.
